Rebuilding lives in Sri Lanka

Civil war in Sri Lanka has destroyed lives, homes and entire communities. Even after the fighting has ended, people are left living in appalling conditions. For the past four years, Practical Action has been working with communities in eastern Sri Lanka to rebuild their lives.

Practical technological solutions such as energy-efficient brick kilns and improved potters wheels, together with training that enables people to become self-sufficient once more, are laying the foundations of a better future.
